"Hey! Hey, (Name)!" The loud American shouted to get his girlfriend's attention from her book. As annoying as he was, (Name) loved him, but she was not going to let him interrupt her reading. She was right in the middle of the third book of the Harry Potter series. Apparently, that didn't stop Alfred. "(Nameeee)!"
(Name) turned the page of her book, getting more and more irritated every time Alfred whined. "(Nameeee)!" He whined once more, throwing himself on (Name's) lap. Alfred's motto was, "Desperate times call for desperate measures," and right now, it was obvious that he stuck to it whenever he felt it was needed.
"Good God, Alfred! Can you not see that I'm trying to read??" (Name) scolded the blonde boy in her lap. She shut her book and threw it onto the coffee table in front of them. Then she flicked Alfred on the forehead, causing him to wince and put his hand on said area.
"But I'm soo boreeed," Alfred pouting, giving (Name) pleading puppy dog eyes. If there was one thing he knew, it was that nobody could resist his puppy eyes. Well, everyone except for Arthur. And Francis. And Matthew. And just about everyone else that wasn't (Name).
(Name) sighed. "If you're bored, then go do something," she suggested, losing feeling in both of her legs. Alfred was quite fit, but his diet consisted of Big Macs and Coca-Cola, so he weighed a lot more than he looked. "Like maybe play a video game or something. Just let me get back to my book."
"(Nameee), can we go to the beach?" Alfred asked, acting like a five year old child. (Name) inhaled sharply. He knows she can't swim. She never wanted to learn due to her fear of the ocean. Sharks, crabs, drowning; she hated it all. She blames her brother for making her sit in front of the TV for Jaws and Shark Week when she was four. Which would be why she doesn't watch The Little Mermaid with Alfred unless they were watching the parts where Ariel was on land. Hell, she couldn't even watch Finding Nemo!
"Um, I really don't think that's a good idea, Al," she objected, struggling to move over so Alfred was off of her lap. When she had finally succeeded, she reached over for her book and searched for the page she had left off on. "You know how much it scares me to even look at the water, let alone swim in it; which I can't even do anyways."
"Come onnnn. Just today?" The blonde American begged, still acting childish, hoping (Name) would eventually give in. He was bored, and he wanted to go somewhere. "I can teach you," he insisted, trying to persuade her to change her mind.
"Why don't you ask Arthur to take you?" (Name) asked, getting back to her book. Alfred groaned exaggeratedly at the thought of going to the beach with a big stick in the mud.
"But Artie's no funnnn," he complained. He imagined Arthur yelling at him to grow up as he built a sand castle that looked nowhere near a sand castle. More like a huge bump that had holes for windows and a leaf for a flag. He imagined being even more bored than he already was at the current moment because Arthur would be reading and not want to play with Alfred like he did when he was a child. "He's a big stick in the mud! I won't have any fun if Artie takes me!"
"Well, then ask Francis. I'm sure he'd be more than happy to take you," (Name) suggested, imagining the Frenchman staring at every woman that passed by in some kind of bikini. She shuddered at her thoughts, knowing that they were very accurate.
Alfred complained again, knowing everything that could go wrong with going with Francis. "He'd be too busy trying to flirting with some girl! He won't pay any attention to me anyways; It would be the same as going with Artie!"
"How about Matthew? He called me yesterday; he's in town for the summer. Oh, by the way, he's coming to stay with us next week," (Name) stated, turning another page in her book. Alfred shot up on the couch. "Matt's in town!? Why was I not informed of this??" He questioned, not aware about this news because nobody had told him.
"You were basically the first person he called before he even left Canada," (Name) replied blankly, looking at the surprised face of her boyfriend, then went back to her book. "Anyways, he might want to spend some time with his big brother," she continued, although Alfred was only older than Matthew by a few minutes.
"I know! All three of us can go! That way we can all have fun and spend time together!" Alfred suggested, patting himself on the back for his clever thinking. (Name) paused, making it look like she was considering it, even though she had come to her decision long ago. She then looked at him straight in the eye and said, "No, Al."
    "Come on. Please?" He begged.
    "No."
    "Please???"
    "No, Alfred."
"Pleeaaaseeeeeee?" This one word was continuous, and (Name) felt as if her ears were going to bleed. God, did Alfred ever need to breathe??
"All right, fine! We'll go to the damn beach!" She gave up, slamming her book shut and standing up to get her cell phone. Alfred jumped nearly ten feet in the air in triumph, running all over the house to start packing for the beach.
"Hey, Mattie. Me and Al are headed for the beach, and we were wondering if you wanted to come with us," (Name) said into the receiver of her cell, and she could already feel the confused aura coming from Matthew's end of the line.
"The beach? Aren't you afraid of the water?" Matthew questioned, clearly puzzled.
"Alfred wouldn't shut up until I gave in," (Name) replied, sulking slightly. She was more than ashamed of her weakness around Alfred. "So anyways, about the beach..."
"Yeah, sure. I'd love to go with you guys. I'll see you soon," and with that, Matthew hung up, leaving that monotone sound which showed that the line was dead.
(Name) was not looking forward to the beach.
This the result of having a fear of the ocean with America as a boyfriend. And I made Canada and America twins since Canada is so often confused for America :3

I do not own Hetalia, nor do I own you. But if I owned Canada.... :iconpervyfranceplz:

Anyways, enjoy! And I have been smacked with a brick of writer's block for Prussia's part two :iconorzplz: I'm trying to take my mind off of it for a while and hopefully, I'll think of something for it. But I can guarantee that it will be posted!
